Why Do all Old People Hate Modern day society?

they always complaain about the faults in society and mankind happening this modern day rather than complain about the olden times when they lived when hitler was alive, life was harder, living conditions were poorer and life expectancy was lower? lets just face it, life sucked back then! how can they hate modern day more than the crappy olden days! my grandma even said she would like to live in the 1800's instead of today! she must be crazy! people wore clothing that fully covered them and just as i explained life sucked for all genders, races and age groups back then!
