If the US is such a free country, why are there STILL some words you can't say on TV?

Not only that, but I STILL remember when everybody made an issue out of David Caruso showing his bare ocks on "NYPD Blue"! I know for a fact that there are some countries that don't have nearly as much censorship in their broadcasting as we do!
