Are bio fuels REALLY ecological ?

Concidering that now in many "3rd world " countrys they are burning up the rainforests (CO2 emissions) at a rate of 1000 acre's a day to make place for Bioethonal plantations. Not to mention the already arable land used for food being changed to Ethenol productions ( food being less important than cars)
