I need some help. im turning 18 and i dont know what to do,?

it's good that you do want to do something when you graduate from high school,how ever you come out whether you walk out or not and cooking is not such a bad deal if you can hook up with the right people. i don't see why they are against that, because people do have to eat and some will pay a fortune for the food that they eat. evidently they don't look at the cooking shows that come on tv or do you look at tv? i don't know how you would get out of going on a mission, but they do need to listen to what you want to do after all you are the one that will have the life that you decide to live and not them. if you can try to go to a community college if they stop the support for another college that you had in mind to go to. and may be through them you will get a chance to go to the college of your choice some where down the road. but don't give up on going to school, and don't let them discourage you in any way from going. may be going to business college for a start will help you out some too until you can figure out a way to get to culinary school. and your dad sounds as if you are gong to live his life instead of your own, it's really not fair for him to try and tell you what profession you should go into because if you don't like what he wants you to do you will not be good at it because it is not what you want to do, he has no logic. as long as you make something of your self and it's honest and not just trying to avoid being productive your dad needs to let you be. i hope every thing works out for you. i can't tell you not to do as your parents tell you to do but maybe go in a round about way to do what you want to do. meaning that if you go to a community college some of them have home economic which includes cooking. so you could take business as a major and cooking as a minor you see what i mean? of if you can still go to a college where you will still get support from your dad you can do it that way there. and if it takes getting out of their home on your own and working to get what you want then may be you can do that and save your money and put yourself through school on grant. the president is offering money for people to go to school maybe you an try one of those. and your mom needs to learn to think for herself, because she sounds like she is being controlled by your dad.
