I have a casio camera and when i try to charge it the charger light blinks and it won't charge what do i do?

I have a casio exilim camera ex-277 7.2 mega pixels camera and when i try to charge it the charger light blinks and it just keeps blinking and won't charge and i'm concerned that i will have to buy another battery is there another way i can deal with it?
